Gavin Stuckey Signs With Liquid Force

Both of the Stuckey’s riding for Ronix is no more, as younger brother Gavin has recently signed with Liquid Force. In an announcement that was exciting, but not entirely surprising, Gavin has left a brand he has been with his entire career. At a time in wakeboarding when when new athlete contracts are a rarity, Gavin has set himself apart. He’s made a significant impact on the industry at a young age, from major contest wins to top tier video sections, Gavin understands what it means to be a professional in this new landscape of action sports, and the industry has taken notice.
Is this a good move? We think so. Having your older brother (Trent Stuckey) on the same brand as you could easily make the public think of you as one entity. A set of brothers who both pursue professional careers in wake hasn’t actually been too uncommon, think Bob and Phil Soven, Parks and Shane Bonifay, Oli and Raph Derome. If Gavin was interested in continuing to make his own name in the sport of wakeboarding, it seems it would be wise to branch off from his brother and continue to forge a path of his own.
Regardless of which brand he ended up on, we are stoked to see what Gavin continues to cook up now that he is with an entirely different team.
